Yummy Hot Sauce Serves 3-4 with Fried Rice
Ingredients
- 150 gms paneer
- 2 tbsp plain flour(maida),
- 1/4 cup cornflour
- 1/4 tsp each of pepper & salt
- 4 tbsp water
GARLIC SAUCE
- 2 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp soya sauce
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- a pinch of sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp cornflour mixed with 1/4 cup water
- 1 spring onion greens – finely chopped (1tbsp ) for garnishing
How to prepare
- To prepare the sauce, peel & grind the garlic to a rough paste.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil & fry the garlic on low heat till it starts to change it’s color.
- Reduce heat. Add tomato ketchup, soya sauce, pepper, salt and little sugar. Cook for 3 mins.
- Add water. Boil for 2 mins on low flame.
- Add cornflour paste, stir until the sauce becomes thick. Remove from heat. Keep sauce aside.
- Cut paneer into pieces.
- Make a thick batter by mixing cornflour, plain flour, salt & pepper with water.
- Dip paneer pieces & deep fry to a golden color.
- At the time of serving, heat sauce. Put the fried paneer pieces with spring onion or chopped capsicum & boil for 1-2 mins till paneer turns soft.
- Transfer to a serving dish. Serve hot.
